FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting welded.

What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is a clasp-less, dainty chain that’s custom-fit and welded directly onto your wrist, ankle, or neck. It’s designed to stay on daily, but can be removed with scissors or wire cutters if needed.

Does it hurt?

Not at all! The welding process is quick and painless. A small electrical pulse fuses the metal links together, and I’ll provide protective eyewear during the service.

How long does the appointment take?

The process is quick and personalized. Most appointments take about 15–30 minutes, depending on how many pieces you’re getting and how long it takes to choose your chain. I take my time to ensure the fit is just right and that you’re happy with your piece.

How long does it last?

With proper care, your jewelry can last for months or even years. Just keep in mind—it’s meant to be delicate and can break if tugged or caught.

How much does it cost?

Sterling Silver and 14K Gold-filled bracelet- $65-$100

sterling silver and 14k gold -filled charms add on- $12-$35 per charm

14K Gold bracelet -$150-$400

14K Gold charm add on- $35-$55+ per charm

Average bracelet is 6-7 inches of chain + 1 jumping

Can I still work out or swim with it?

Yes! You can absolutely maintain your active lifestyle. Just be mindful of your jewelry during workouts, heavy lifting, or when using equipment that could pull on the chain.

What if I need to remove it?

You can safely cut the chain at the weld point with scissors or nail clippers. I also offer re-welding services if you’d like it reattached (a $25 fee applies after 14 days).

Do you offer repairs or re-welding?

Yes. I include one complimentary repair if the weld breaks within 14 days. After that, re-welding is available for a $25 fee. Lost chains are not covered.

Can I add a clasp instead of welding it?

Absolutely. If you’d prefer something removable, I’m happy to add a clasp instead of welding your piece.

Do you weld on minors?

Yes, with a parent or legal guardian present. I require a signed waiver of consent for anyone under 18.

How many pieces can I get on one wrist?

I allow a maximum of two permanent pieces per wrist. This is for safety—multiple chains can intertwine and behave like one stronger chain, which may prevent them from breaking in a situation where they should. Jewelry should be able to break away safely if caught.

What types of chains and metals do you use?

I offer a curated collection of high-quality chains in 14k solid gold, 14k gold-filled, and sterling silver. Each option is chosen for its beauty, comfort, and durability. You’ll be able to select your chain at your appointment.

Will my jewelry tarnish over time?

Tarnishing is natural for certain metals, especially sterling silver and gold-filled jewelry. Factors like skin pH, lotions, perfumes, and water exposure can cause darkening or dullness over time.

  • 14k solid gold is the most tarnish-resistant and typically maintains its shine.

  • Gold-filled jewelry may darken slightly but can be gently cleaned and polished.

  • Sterling silver may tarnish more noticeably but can always be restored with a polishing cloth.

To preserve your jewelry, avoid harsh chemicals, clean gently with a soft cloth, and pat dry after exposure to water or sweat.

Will permanent jewelry set off airport security or affect medical scans?

No, your jewelry will not set off TSA airport scanners. The dainty metals I use—like 14k solid gold, gold-filled, and sterling silver—are generally not flagged during screening.

For MRIs, some medical facilities may require you to remove all metal. If that’s the case, your jewelry can be safely cut at the weld point and re-welded later (a $25 fee applies).
